Responsibilities

  • Assigning and coordinating budtender duties to maintain optimal customer service coverage and meet dispensary needs, including product knowledge and sales performance.
  • Monitoring staff schedules to ensure adequate shift coverage, address scheduling conflicts in real-time, and ensure smooth customer transactions and service.
  • Managing inventory and product allocation to minimize stock shortages, reduce downtime, and maintain smooth operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with dispensary policies, state regulations, and safety guidelines, including age verification and product handling.
  • Training new budtender staff on customer service protocols, product knowledge, and legal regulations, providing ongoing evaluations to support professional growth.
  • Communicating schedule updates, expectations, and key information to team members for optimal service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Maintaining a professional, organized system for inventory management, customer interactions, and sales processes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Supporting management with reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and customer satisfaction to implement continuous process improvements.

Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a budtending or customer service role, ideally in a fast-paced, retail-driven environment.
  • Strong product knowledge, including cannabis strains, consumption methods, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively, ensuring timely and efficient customer service and inventory management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to educate customers, resolve issues, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure, particularly when addressing high customer volumes or product inquiries.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on dispensary needs.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset to ensure smooth daily operations and meet sales and customer service goals effectively.
