Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily procurement operations, ensuring resources are efficiently sourced, and performance goals are met.
  • Assigning and coordinating procurement duties to maintain optimal coverage and meet operational needs, including vendor management and material acquisition.
  • Monitoring supplier schedules to ensure adequate stock levels and address procurement delays in real-time, ensuring timely deliveries and product availability.
  • Managing resource allocation and vendor scheduling to minimize disruptions, reduce downtime, and maintain smooth workflow.
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, company guidelines, and regulatory standards, including sustainability practices and supplier performance.
  • Training new procurement staff on procurement processes, vendor systems, and negotiation protocols, providing ongoing evaluations to support professional growth.
  • Communicating procurement updates, expectations, and key information to team members for optimal productivity and to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Maintaining a professional, organized procurement system to ensure alignment with business objectives and operational efficiency.

Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain roles, ideally in a fast-paced, logistics-driven environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with procurement software, ERP systems, and supplier management tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively, ensuring timely and efficient procurement of materials and services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with vendors, resolve issues, and ensure smooth procurement operations.
  • Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure, particularly when addressing urgent supply chain disruptions or procurement challenges.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset to ensure seamless procurement operations and meet organizational goals effectively.
