Responsibilities

  • Assigning and coordinating grant writer duties to maintain efficient proposal processes, ensure optimal alignment with funding objectives, and improve proposal success rates.
  • Monitoring grant application deadlines, schedules, and submission requirements to ensure timely delivery, address challenges in real-time, and maintain smooth proposal operations.
  • Managing grant-related research and application planning to maximize success rates, minimize errors, and ensure alignment with funder priorities.
  • Ensuring compliance with funder guidelines, company policies, and industry regulations when developing proposals and securing grants.
  • Training new grant writers on research methods, writing strategies, and donor communication, providing ongoing evaluations to support professional growth.
  • Communicating grant writing progress, trends, and key funding insights to team members for strategic proposal development and fundraising initiatives.
  • Maintaining a professional, organized grant-writing system to ensure alignment with business objectives, fundraising goals, and donor expectations.
  • Supporting management with reports on grant proposal performance, funding outcomes, and strategic initiatives to improve future funding opportunities.

Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, or proposal development, ideally in a nonprofit or government environment.
  • Strong knowledge of grant research, proposal writing, donor communication, and compliance with funding guidelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively, ensuring timely and accurate submission of grant proposals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with donors, resolve issues, and strengthen relationships with funding agencies.
  • Ability to remain calm and make strategic decisions under pressure, particularly when facing tight deadlines for grant submissions.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours and manage multiple proposals simultaneously, adapting to shifting project timelines and funding opportunities.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset to ensure the success of grant applications, meet funding targets, and strengthen the organization’s financial position.
