Responsibilities

  • Assigning and coordinating courtesy clerk duties to maintain optimal store operations, customer service, and product availability, including stocking, organization, and checkout assistance.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and restocking schedules to ensure timely product availability, address stock shortages in real-time, and maintain a seamless shopping experience.
  • Managing product organization and store layout to minimize product loss, reduce clutter, and enhance customer access to items.
  • Ensuring compliance with store policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Training new courtesy clerks on customer service protocols, store procedures, and safety regulations, providing ongoing support to foster professional growth.
  • Communicating stock updates, promotions, and key information to team members for efficient store operations and excellent customer service.
  • Maintaining a professional, organized store environment to ensure alignment with business objectives, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Supporting management with reports on customer feedback, stock management, and store operations to contribute to continuous process improvements.

Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a customer service, retail, or inventory management role, ideally in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, such as stocking, customer assistance, and checkout.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain inventory accuracy and store organization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist customers, resolve issues, and optimize store operations.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, particularly when handling busy store periods or customer inquiries.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on store needs.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset to ensure efficient store operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
