Description

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and reliable Call Center Representative to join our hospital's dietary and patient services team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for incoming patient phone calls, helping them process and manage their meal orders. You will be responsible for navigating our internal system to verify patient records, check specific clinical diet restrictions (such as regular, chopped, puree, or restricted diets), and ensure accurate order entry. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional customer service skills and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

SHIFTS & AVAILABILITY

We are currently hiring for multiple shifts. Ideal candidates must have open availability to work every weekend.

Morning Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Evening Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Answer high-volume incoming calls in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.

Process and input patient meal orders accurately via the hospital's internal electronic system.

Review and cross-reference patient profiles to verify dietary orders, food allergies, and clinical restrictions before finalizing requests.

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries, modifying orders as needed, and ensuring a positive experience.

Collaborate closely with the clinical dietary department and kitchen staff to ensure seamless meal delivery schedules.

Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of customer service experience is required (prior experience in a hospital, medical call center, or dietary department is highly preferred).

Skills: Excellent communication, phone etiquette, and active listening skills.

Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate internal systems, input data accurately, and learn new software quickly.

Attributes: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
